Anpassung an den Klimawandel im GIZ Agrarportfolio
Hintergrund
Climate change has a strong impact on the agricultural sector globally because primary production directly depends on the availability of natural resources. Rural livelihoods in the least developed countries depend heavily on agriculture. As a consequence, disadvantaged populations suffer disproportionately from the adverse effects of a changing climate. GIZ focuses on adaptation in the agricultural sector with the goal of securing food and income for rural dwellers in the most vulnerable areas worldwide. The diversity of approaches to adaptation is represented in the GIZ portfolio and has generated a wealth of best practice examples that can be replicated elsewhere. The project aimed to compile an overview of adaptation concepts and experiences from the field and presented an informative document to the wider public.
