We are delighted to celebrate the official launch of two modern native tree nurseries in Uganda and Kenya through the RTRP-Seed project, supported by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Federal Government.

This milestone reflects our shared commitment to restoring landscapes, strengthening local seed systems, and advancing the growth of native tree species across the region.

These nurseries are more than infrastructure. They are a long-term investment in resilient ecosystems, biodiversity conservation, and the communities whose livelihoods depend on healthy landscapes.

Our sincere thanks go to our nursery partners for their dedication and hard work in bringing this vision to life, and to the government officials, local leaders, technical teams and project partners who joined us to mark the occasion – these strong partnerships are essential to lasting progress.

We look forward to the benefits these nurseries will bring to communities, biodiversity and restoration efforts across the region.
