Dialogue on Climate Change and Agriculture
Background
The project intends to provide an objective analysis for addressing agriculture under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), to inform country negotiators and other key stakeholders by identifying options and key issues of interest, without expressing opinions or being prescriptive. The Meridian Institute coordinated the project. The team of lead authors included employees of Climate Focus (coordinating author), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), the International Center for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD) and UNIQUE. UNIQUE was the team lead author on performance and benefit measurement and provided an in-depth analysis of measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) options for agricultural mitigation and adaptation actions.
