Environmental & Climate Assessment of Agricultural Projects
Background
The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) intends to introduce a so-called Environment and Climate proofing for the entire development cooperation. The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) developed instruments to operationalize the environmental and climate assessment in the planning of new development cooperation measures or of new phases of development cooperation measures. The aim of the consultation was to develop specific recommendations to improve the content of agricultural sector employment assistance for the field of climate mitigation. UNIQUE was commissioned by the GIZ to develop concrete suggestions for improvement.
Our contribution
- Develop concrete suggestions to help the agricultural sector working for climate mitigation.
- Debriefing with GIZ employees of environmental and climate assessment.
