Management Planning of the Mastershausen Municipal Forests
Background
UNIQUE developed a forest inventory and compiled a forest management plan (medium-term operational plan) for the communal forest enterprise of the Mastershausen community, which owns a forest area of approximately 400 hectares in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. In particular, UNIQUE developed a concept for the reforestation of storm damaged areas. After agreeing on operational goals, the economic plan was evaluated and a 10-year financial plan was created for the forestry budget. The 10-year forest management plan will serve as the basis for the annual economic plan of the district forest administration. The plan is to be controlled by UNIQUE every two years.
