REDD+ Winter School
Background
Many REDD+ countries are advancing from readiness towards implementation, which includes the development of pilot programs for results-based finance. The design and operationalization of pilot REDD+ programs poses a number of challenges, and REDD+ countries are actively seeking technical support. The GIZ, which supports various countries in REDD+ implementation, is organizing a “REDD+ Winter School” to inform GIZ country staff and other relevant actors about recent developments, challenges and approaches to address them. With longstanding experience in REDD+ program development and implementation, UNIQUE has been selected to design, organize, carry out and document the REDD+ Winter School.
