Support the Reform Process of the State Forest Enterprises
Background
The Vietnamese–German Forest Program “Support to sustainable forest management, trade and marketing of forest products” advises the Government of Vietnam concerning the reform process of the state owned forest enterprises (SFE) and their transformation into economically independent forest companies. An independent review was needed to analyze the reform process and to identify positive and negative factors influencing this process. The mission was performed by UNIQUE in cooperation with Hessen-Forst.
Our contribution

- Review and analyze the most important factors that are influencing the current reform process.
- Review and analyze the most important factors that are influencing business operations of SFEs.
- Make recommendations for further interventions in this reform process.
