Endingen Burial Forest
Background
The high demand for near-natural and care-free urn cemeteries requires a rethinking at the municipal level. More and more municipalities offer additional cemeteries, which meet the needs of today's society. In Endingen am Kaiserstuhl, two more of these cemetery offers will be created, after its memorial forest was successfully established in 2012. One aspect will involve a park-like area where urn burials are offered under solitary trees. There will also be a memorial vineyard where urn burials should be possible under vines from 2019 onwards. This project aims to respond to the increasing demand for near-natural but more cultivated, trim and tidy urn cemeteries.
