The forest administration of the state of Brandenburg has recently started to use the central monitoring and management planning software “Datenspeicher Wald, Version 2” (DSW 2) as a central module for their forest information system (state of forests, forest planning, and forest management). More than 400 end-users, mostly forest engineers, regularly apply the software which covers about 1.1 million hectares forest area in Brandenburg. UNIQUE was in charge of developing manuals and conducting basic and advanced software training courses.

• Formulation and design of a training curriculum.
• Elaboration of manuals for two different target groups.
• Design of supportive media (presentation, poster).
• Teaching of 15 basic courses and 15 advanced courses.
• Complementary MS Excel training for interpretation and display of data from the system.
• Evaluation and documentation of results.
