Seed Systems Development
Background
KULIMA is a co-funded program by the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. It is implemented from 2017 until 2023 by GIZ and FAO. KULIMA stands for “Kutukula Ulimi m’Malawi”, which in the main local language Chichewa means "Promoting Farming in Malawi". In the context of a changing climate, KULIMA aims to promote sustainable agricultural growth in all districts of Malawi. The objective of this consultancy was to support KULIMA in developing a sustainable system for the supply of quality rice seed to a growing network of smallholder farmers who will be supported by the KULIMA project.
