UNIQUE investigated in this study the competitiveness of the forestry and wood processing cluster in the federal state of Baden-Wurttemberg. The competitiveness of the first and second processing levels were analyzed and compared to other federal states. Current and future trends in wood production and consumption were examined. The results supported policy decision-making for further cluster management. Based on the analysis, a participatory action plan was developed which was then consolidated in a final plan for project implementation.
