Emission Reductions - Project Idea Note
Background
The Carbon Fund of the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) is designed to pilot the implementation of REDD+ programs in large-scale jurisdictions. Participating countries must first submit an Emission Reduction Program Idea Note (ER-PIN) based on which the Carbon Fund will make a decision whether or not to include the ER-Program in the Fund pipeline. The Governments of Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire developed ER-PINs with the aim to receive finance for two ambitious multi-sector ER-Programs large forest areas in their respective countries. UNIQUE was contracted by the World Bank to support the Governments of Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire in designing their ER-Programs and ensuring the technical soundness of the proposals.
